Summary of Program

Crisis Intervention

Families in our communities are typically working for their next meal, with no cash savings or spendable income. A typical illness can cause a crisis for the entire family. Our social workers assist families in finding resources and solutions. Sometimes this comes in the form of counseling, financial assistance, referrals to more specialized agencies or setting up a unique program for their case. Financial assistance is most often given in to families in dire circumstances due to accident, injury, illness, abandonment or an untimely death. We also help families transition to their home provinces.
